Over to Blackbushe for the weekly light commercial sale. Over 400 units this week. Good attendance, bearing in mind we're entering the holiday season and large portions of the sale were 'live on line'. Most of the major vendors have sections, with Lex Autolease disposing of over a 100 units. Two halls in use today, keeping me on my toes - back and forth between the halls.

A good cross-selection on offer, but noticeable that plenty of high spec 4x4s being pushed through. Only those in pristine condition and with Guide miles are doing the business. Those with auto boxes are struggling a bit.

Demand seems to have slowed somewhat as the supply of quality late year stock has reduced. And it's noticeable that higher-spec vans or anything a bit out of the ordinary, got over Guide whereas older, more standard stock, unless in top condition underperformed.

Checking around, the trade are still wary of anything that looks a bit 'everyday', or is in need of too much work. They're still after the more distinctive late year stock, but unwilling to pay over the odds to get them.

It definitely looks as though seasonality is returning to the used LCV market after a couple of years of full steam ahead activity.
