Back to Measham - I'll soon have my own mug behind the counter - for the VWFS sale, and to meet a couple of dealers that I missed last week.

It looks, thinking of yesterday too, that we might be finding the bottom of the summer dip. There was a very respectable crowd here and even more, active, on line. Business was brisk, and while a lot of cars were price-range rather than fancy, it was good to see plenty of examples going over book. There's still a lack of enthusiasm for base models, and an expectation that August will be as slow as July, but people are starting to remember that this is what used to happen every year. The hope is that by September people will come back from their holidays ready to replace whatever it was they went on holiday in.
